Contractors have largely wrapped up work on a 2.1-mile long sidewalk along 41st Street that stretches from the Rolling Oaks Neighborhood to Highway 97.
The $462,109 project was 70 percent funded with federal money. The remaining 30 percent local match included money from the Oklahoma Military Department. The city's portion was paid using money from an Oklahoma Department of Transportation-funded enhancement grant. Those enhancement grants are mainly aimed at trail and walkway improvements, said T.J. Davis, projects administrator for the city's public works department.
