ENID — A dangerous curve on U.S. 81 two miles south of Waukomis soon will be straighter.
That stretch of road currently is under construction to remove the curve and straighten out the lanes, said Ken Crowl, Oklahoma Department of Transportation manager for Highway District 4, which includes Garfield and Kingfisher counties.
Haskell Lemon Construction also is overlaying a large portion of the road from the Kingfisher County line almost to Waukomis.
“That’s a dangerous curve. It was scheduled to be done right after I came here and I met Columbus at the boat,” Crowl said.
