State awards $36 million contract for new Purcell-Lexington bridge

The next – and final – chapter in the history of the James C. Nance Memorial Bridge opened Tuesday when the Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded a $36 million contract for the construction of a new span connecting Purcell and Lexington.

Webber, LLC, was the lowest of three bidders. The company is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
