Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores strives to make a difference in the communities it serves. Love’s commitment to the communities it serves is evident in a culture of charitable giving and volunteerism.

For several years, Love’s has donated 2 percent of its net operating profits to charitable organizations. Since 2007, the Oklahoma City-based company has donated $2,000 to a local nonprofit for each new store opening. Each Love’s location also has a charitable contributions budget to donate to hometown organizations.

Love’s primary corporate charity is the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Since 1999, Love’s and its customers have raised more than $4 million for CMN hospitals across the nation. In 2010, the company raised $1 million for CMN, including $130,000 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Oklahoma. The company hopes to raise more than $1 million in 2011.

All Love’s locations compete annually each September to determine which team can raise the most money for CMN through balloon donations and special events like motorcycle rides, cookouts, truck washes, contests and grand prize raffles. Love’s rewards the top 12 fundraising managers across the country with a trip to Oklahoma City, home of its corporate offices.
