Beams Expected to be Set Soon for Bevan Creek Bridge

Crews continue their efforts to replace the Bevan Creek Bridge on North 4000 Road, known by most as Old Highway 75.

The bridge was closed down in late January so it could be replaced, and the project is taking place in District Three of Washington County. The portion of North 4000 Road where the work is being conducted is between West 3600 and West 3700 Roads.

Commissioner Mike Dunlap said he has been very appreciative of the hard work B L Tower Construction has put into the bridge. He said big plans are in place for the bridge this week.

On Thursday, three long beams for the Bevan Creek Bridge are expected to be set. Commissioner Dunlap said that will be a significant event for the bridge replacement project. He said both head walls have been poured. The stem walls for the bridge have been poured as well.

The projected 90-day Bevan Creek bridge project costs $850,000 with Federal and State of Oklahoma money involved. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation bid the project in November 2019, and a pre-construction meeting took place in early January... FULL ARTICLE
