BNSF crews to work at Willow crossing; road reopening date unknown

ENID, Okla. — BNSF Railway crews will be working Monday at a crossing on Willow.

City of Enid engineering officials have said construction on Willow is nearing completion, and all remaining activities are associated with safety equipment at the BNSF crossing. The public should not attempt to use the crossing until all required safety equipment has been installed by BNSF, according to a city statement released Monday.

"(BNSF Railway officials will) need to do a bunch of testing over the next few weeks, before it's fully reopened. I think they're going to try and open up a lane in each direction, but it's all just going to be dependent on the new signals that are being installed," BNSF spokesman Joe Sloan said.
