A bridge project above a Tulsa interstate has led transportation officials to close several lanes passing under the span.
The two right lanes of both eastbound and westbound Interstate 244 are shut down at Harvard Avenue until further notice, according to a bulletin issued Tuesday afternoon by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
The city of Tulsa is working on the Harvard Avenue bridge deck, which passes over the interstate. ODOT officials said the highway closure is a precautionary measure to protect motorists who are driving under the bridge.
