Pontotoc County — Construction to replace Rocky Creek Bridge, perhaps one of the more dangerous bridges in Pontotoc County, is scheduled to begin sometime this summer. The bridge is located on County Road 1570 (Farm to Market Road) in district two.
“The right of way has been acquired and the utilities are in the process of being moved,” Davis said.
He said many car wrecks have occurred at the bridge because it is higher than the road at either end of it, causing it to have a hump.
“I’ll bet five or six people have been killed on that bridge in the last 25 years,” Davis said... FULL ARTICLE
