Bridges to close for rehabilitation project

Work on local bridges will soon cause traffic changes.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation confirmed to the News-Capital that crews will work on the State Highway 113 bridge over U.S. Highway 69 north of McAlester starting on Dec. 3, according to ODOT Representative Mills Leslie.

Contractor PBX Corporation plans to begin Dec. 3 and will work for the first week on the underside of the bridge, causing the U.S. Highway 69 traffic to narrow to one lane going each direction, Leslie said.
