Broken Arrow Expressway narrows at Garnett today

The left lane of eastbound Oklahoma 51 (Broken Arrow Expressway) will be closed between Garnett Road and 145th East Avenue until 3 p.m. today for drainage cleaning, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced.

The eastbound Broken Arrow Expressway on-ramp from 21st Street South and the off-ramp to Harvard Avenue will be closed until 3 p.m. today for brush removal.

All lanes of east and westbound Interstate 44 are shifted onto temporary lanes at Harvard Avenue. Traffic is switched to one lane in each direction on north and southbound Harvard Avenue into the existing northbound lanes, at 51st Street South until further notice as part of a widening project. Area closures include:

  • At the junction of Harvard Avenue and 51st Street, no left turns will be permitted from any direction until further notice.
  • Various lane closures on east and westbound 51st Street between Lewis and Pittsburg avenues (located between Harvard and Yale avenues) until further notice.
  • The right lane of the westbound frontage road between Harvard and Lewis avenues is closed until further notice.

Area ramp closures include:

  • Eastbound I-44 on-ramp from Harvard Avenue.
  • Eastbound I-44 on and off-ramps at Yale Avenue.
  • Eastbound I-44 off-ramp at 41st Street South.
  • Westbound I-44 on-ramps at 41st Street South.
  • Westbound I-44 on-ramp from Yale Avenue.
