The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the sweltering heat is to blame for a hole to be patched not once, but twice.

The bridge was built in 1965 and ODOT labeled it structurally deficient. It's one of 5,000 bridges in Oklahoma with that same label.

This is the 5th hole to open in the Tulsa area this year.

Westbound lanes were closed overnight as crews worked to repair the hole.
