TULSA, OKla. - The I-44 widening project forced several Tulsa businesses to move.
But there are now signs that companies are starting to come back.
In the summer of 2007, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation started moving out homes and businesses which were in the way of the project.
Three-hundred-twenty-three pieces of land were impacted; one-hundred-eighty-nine of those were commercial properties.
"It's been several years of going in clearing the right-of-way, moving utilities out of the way," ODOT Spokesperson Kenna Mitchell said.
