Candidates raise more than $6.7M

OKLAHOMA CITY
– The four candidates for governor and lieutenant governor have raised more than $6.7 million collectively for the 2010 election, state documents show.

Ethics Commission filings show that Jari Askins, Mary Fallin, Kenneth Corn and Todd Lamb have together generated about $6,767,136 for their campaigns. Of that figure, Fallin, a Republican, and Askins, a Democrat, generated the largest portion of the funds.

Filed on Aug. 9, Fallin’s Ethics Commission report listed a total of $319,132 raised from July 13 to Aug. 9. Of that figure, Fallin reported monetary receipts of $308,151; she also a reported $10,980 in in-kind contributions.

Askins reported raising a total of $296,152 raised during the same period. She reported $294,670 in monetary receipts and $1,482 in in-kind contributions.
