Some agencies’ employees say slashing funding will drive up other costs

Nearly 400 people showed up Wednesday to plead with lawmakers to spare state agencies from double-digit budget cuts.
"This will have an impact on everyone,” said Mary Brinkley, an organizer of Wednesday’s effort. "No one in this state will be unaffected if these budget cuts go through.”
Later, Democrats in the House of Representatives called again on Republican legislative leaders to implement a 10 percent cut or a moratorium on selected tax credits.
Such cuts "would result in the kind of significant savings we need to avoid catastrophic effects on our most vulnerable citizens,” said Rep. Scott Inman, of Del City, Democrats’ designated leader for next session... FULL ARTICLE
