City Councilors were told Tuesday that if the city doesn't annex a large area in north Tulsa County and create a fence line around a smaller area around the proposed Gilcrease Expressway, a change in state law will make it difficult to do it.
The new law, which goes into effect in November, no longer allows cities to do gross annexation, said Economic Development Dirctor Mike Bunney.
He said the city has until Nov. 1 to act under the current law.
Otherwise, the new law will require written consent of property owners before their land can be annexed... FULL ARTICLE
