City commission gives OK to asphalt resurfacing project

ENID — A paving project that will provide asphalt resurfacing for a number of city streets was approved Tuesday by the Enid City Commission.

The bid of $1,596,582 was submitted by Cummins Construction Co. and includes a $4,600 option that provides a three-year warranty and a $65,000 alternate for Tru-Pave paving on Broadway. Work is scheduled to begin in August and should be completed by December.

Streets to be paved are:

• Broadway from Grant to Van Buren.

• Willow from Garland to Oakwood.

• Richland from Cleveland to Van Buren.

• Taylor from Norman Road to Richland.

• Breckinridge Road from 42nd to 66th.

• 10th from Rupe to one half mile north.

• Heritage Trail from Double Tree to Willow.
