City commissioners to consider bridge repair funds

SHAWNEE, Okla. — The Citizen Potawatomi Nation may fund repairs to the bridge that crosses the North Canadian River on Gordon Cooper Drive (Spouth Beard Street) Shawnee City Commissioners Monday evening will consider an agreement with the CPN that will leave them responsible for funding work to the southbound lanes of the James W. Allen bridge along Gordon Cooper across the North Canadian River.

According to the agreement, the CPN has proposed to repair infrastructure and deck repair on the bridge up to the standards of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).

“The work is proposed since the southbound Gordon Cooper Bridges is currently in bad condition and in need of repair,” according to the agreement. If approved, the entire project is to be constructed on public-right-of way... FULL ARTICLE

I freaking love the fog. This aforenton I watched as it receded to a thick marine layer hovering just at the coastline's edge, then the back of it burned off and it became a fog necklace hugging the shore, and now a larger, darker, higher layer is advancing to swallow us up again. It is so fun to watch this all happen over a matter of hours from my living room window.
