NORMAN, Okla. — Norman is building a path to better health that also could bring diverse neighbors together.
Construction began March 5 on a multimodal path that will connect urban Norman with Lake Thunderbird State Park.
Phase 1 of the 10-foot wide concrete path along Highway 9 East runs from 24th Avenue SE to 36th Avenue SE along the north side of the highway.
“It's really going well,” Norman Public Works Director Shawn O'Leary said. “It's a challenging project because you're working adjacent to the highway.” FULL ARTICLE
