OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police and firefighters worked to break down massive icicles on the 12th Street bridge that runs over Interstate 235.
There were more than a dozen icicles, some more than a foot in diameter hanging off the bridge.
Oklahoma City police dispatch said the icicles were caused by a broken pipe along the pedestrian bridge.
Oklahoma City street crews quickly spread salt on the interstate and cleared the icicles from the road after they were knocked down.
The interstate was shut down for a few minutes for clean-up, but it is back open for the morning commute.
There were no injuries or damage reported.
