Senate Democrats put their budget demands in writing on Tuesday and said they would not support a budget that didn’t include funding for senior nutrition and a hospital provider fee.
Senate Minority Leader Charlie Laster sent a letter to Gov. Brad Henry and Republican legislative leaders saying Senate Democrats "have no interest in bringing votes to the table to help you pass a budget” if the budget proposal didn’t include funding for a handful of programs.
Laster said Senate Democrats are not involved in the budget talks for the 2011 fiscal year.
