Approval by Bixby voters of G.O. Street Bond propositions included on the April 5 ballot will result in $4.0 million in new monies and a reallocation of $1.27 million in existing monies to fund the following street improvement projects:

Proposition 1
111th & Memorial:
widening of the east leg of the intersection will ease traffic congestion as well as address local drainage problems. The east side of the intersection will be increased to 5-lanes, matching the west leg of the intersection completed by Tulsa County. A closed, underground drainage system with curbs and gutters will provide updated storm water management facilities. The additional lanes at the signalized intersection will provide congestion relief onto and across Memorial for commercial traffic.

111th & Mingo:
All four legs of the intersection will be widened to 3-lanes, including a center turning lane. The addition of a traffic signal will help alleviate the rush hour traffic similar to the project recently completed at 111th & Sheridan... FULL ARTICLE
