EDMOND — Emergency repair of the bridge on Covell Road over Chisholm Creek has been delayed while 75-foot steel beams are being constructed.
City Manager Larry Stevens said work will resume once the 3-foot-thick beams are completed.
The bridge was damaged by flooding June 14. It has been closed since the storm dumped about a foot of rain on Edmond in 24 hours.
Construction by Cimarron Construction Co., of Oklahoma City, is expected to take 45 days after materials are delivered to the contractor... FULL ARTICLE
