EDMOND — Edmond has been awarded almost $4.2 million in federal stimulus money this year. City officials are trying to get another $60 million from federal funds
They said the stimulus money will help create 49 jobs. Other jobs will be retained, and there will be a number of road construction jobs available.
Only $600,000 of the federal money has been spent. The money went to buy eight buses for the city’s new Citylink Transit system. The buses went on the road in Edmond earlier this month.
Edmond received more than $1.2 million in four grants. None of that money has been spent at this time...
