Oklahoma Tax Commission certifies new figures for current, next fiscal year

The Oklahoma Tax Commission certified revised estimates Thursday that show an overall increase in state revenue for both the remainder of the current fiscal year and for the upcoming fiscal year.
The improvement is based largely on stronger energy prices, said Reece Womack, the Tax Commission’s economist who prepared the estimate.
It’s the first time in three years that the February budget numbers increased over estimates made two months earlier.
"We’re starting to see the first signs of maybe we’re about to start digging our way out of this (downturn),” state Treasurer Scott Meacham said...
