NORMAN — Producers of the television series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” will pay Cleveland County $45,000 to repair road damage caused by heavy truck traffic during the recent taping of a show outside Lexington.
Cleveland County commissioners Monday voted to accept the voluntary payment from Lock & Key Production Inc.
In February, the television series’ cast and crew teamed with Ideal Homes of Norman and numerous local volunteers to rebuild Brian and Audra Skaggs’ house near Lexington.
Commissioner Rusty Sullivan called it a "fair settlement.” He said the money will pay most of the expense for laying a new base and resurfacing nearly one mile of pavement on sections of 120th Avenue and Duffy Road... FULL ARTICLE
