Republican gubernatorial candidate Mary Fallin pulled within $100,000 of her Democratic rival as both contenders filed last-minute contribution reports Wednesday with the state Ethics Commission.
Fallin, a congresswoman from Edmond, reported raising $41,750 the past couple days, putting her total at $3.93 million.
Democratic Lt. Gov. Jari Askins reported $22,400 Wednesday, putting her total at $4.03 million.
Contributors giving the $5,000 maximum to Fallin were Michael Mancillas, an Oklahoma City attorney; the Homebuilders Political Action Committee of Oklahoma City; the Geo Group Political Action Committee of Boca Raton, Fla., and Speak Up for Rural Electrification group from Temple.
