OKLAHOMA CITY - Gov. Brad Henry on Wednesday said he will do everything he can to help Gov.-elect Mary Fallin make a smooth transition into office.
Voters on Tuesday elected Fallin, a Republican, as the state's first female governor. She defeated Lt. Gov. Jari Askins, a Democrat.
Fallin, a two-term congresswoman and former lieutenant governor, and Henry, a Democrat, on Wednesday held a joint press conference to discuss the transition.
Fallin has not made any announcements yet about changes in agencies, boards and commissions, other than to say she hopes to find the very best and brightest to serve... FULL ARTICLE
