OKLAHOMA CITY — Gov. Mary Fallin is scheduled to commemorate the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's centennial and welcome new members of the Oklahoma Transportation Commission.

The event will occur during the state Transportation Department's monthly meeting Monday morning in Oklahoma City.

Officials say Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez also will attend the meeting and is expected to discuss his Every Day Counts program, which is an effort to have state and federal agencies work together to accelerate construction projects.

He also will be recognized for running in the 11th annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon in memory of the 11 Federal Highway Administration employees who were among the 168 people killed in the 1995 Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing.
