Fallin outlines highway improvement plan

Road projects throughout the Tulsa metropolitan area will guarantee many roadways throughout the area will be under construction during the next eight years, according the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's 8-year plan, released recently.

Projects include continued improvements to U.S. 64 near Sand Springs and Bixby, Interstate 44 and 244 in Tulsa, U.S. 169 between Tulsa and Owasso, U.S. 412 near Catoosa and U.S. 75 near Glenpool.

Several of the projects are bridge rehabilitations, a topic Gov. Mary Fallin recently has addressed.

The governor has initiated a plan to fix all 706 of the Oklahoma state highway system's currently identified structurally deficient bridges by 2019, according to information from her office... FULL ARTICLE
