A new governor isn’t a pothole for Gary Ridley.
Gov.-elect Mary Fallin announced Monday she will keep Ridley as secretary of transportation and as director of both the state Transportation Department and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.
“Gary has been serving Oklahoma’s transportation needs for over four decades,” said Fallin, who will take office Jan. 10.
Fallin said she has worked with Ridley since 1990 in her various positions as a legislator, lieutenant governor and congresswoman from the 5th Congressional District. She served on the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
“I can attest to Gary’s unparalleled expertise and dedication,” Fallin said.
Ridley said he was “humbled to be asked and honored to serve.” FULL ARTICLE
