Fallin's plan would improve bridges, roads (OPINION)

A recent study by Transportation for America found that the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metro areas have the highest percentage of bad bridges in their respective population categories. We find this ranking unacceptable.

Roads, bridges and highways are the backbone of our state's infrastructure. With a relatively small population compared to states with more densely populated metro areas, Oklahomans in our two largest metro areas routinely rely on our transportation systems for commuting, commerce and quality of life. They expect and deserve the safest roads possible.

That's why we support Gov. Mary Fallin's newest transportation plan that should improve transportation infrastructure not only in our metro areas, but across our state.
