Federal grant to help fund replacement of bridge near Pond Creek

POND CREEK, Okla. — A bridge on East 0270 Road near Pond Creek is one of 34 structurally deficient county bridges that will be replaced with help from a $3.5 million grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation's competitive highway bridge program, according to the Oklahoma Transporation Commission.

Grant County will partner with the grant money in funding the replacement. The announcement of a federal county bridge program was made Tuesday during a meeting of Oklahoma Transportation Commission and released through a statewide release on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.

Commission members were notified U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a $3.5 million Competitive Highway Bridge Program grant for a proposal submitted by ODOT in partnership with Grant County to replace 34 structurally deficient county bridges in a single project... FULL ARTICLE
