OKLAHOMA CITY — Fewer people are dying in accidents on Oklahoma roadways this year compared to the same time in 2008.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Sunday there have been 245
traffic-related fatalities so far this year on Oklahoma roads and
highways. That compares to 274 during the same time last year.
May also proved to be less deadly for motorists in Oklahoma
this year, with 49 traffic deaths during the month, compared to 62
during May 2008.
