The first snow of the year produced slick and hazardous roads Sunday in much of eastern Oklahoma, with more snow forecast Monday followed by frigid temperatures.
Tulsa and surrounding counties were under a winter storm advisory through Monday night, with 1 to 3 inches of snow expected, the National Weather Service said.
The heaviest snowfall was expected to be near the Kansas border, forecasters said.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a storm system brought snow Sunday to eastern Oklahoma, causing roads to become hazardous in more than 20 counties northeast and southeast of Tulsa.
In the Tulsa area, emergency crews responded to dozens of crashes on slick bridges and overpasses.
Tulsa Police Capt. Dave Roberts said officers responded to about 30 weather-related vehicle crashes between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m... FULL ARTICLE
