(Beggs, OK) -- One town near Tulsa, Oklahoma is essentially cut off -- due to flooding.
In Beggs, Oklahoma, nearly every major road is covered by floodwaters.
Authorities say one driver got stuck while trying to drive on a flooded-out highway.
A passerby rescued the man before it was too late.
"It's worse than we've ever had, just for the simple fact of, especially in this town, with the road construction that you seen out there, it's washed that bridge out," says Beggs Fire Department Acting Chief Rick Mitchell. "So, 16 highway's a pretty good major thoroughfare through here, so there's really nowhere for those people to go. It's hard for them to get around, 'cuz every county road has got a bridge that's washed out as well."
Mitchell says everyone was praying for rain two weeks ago when the region was fighting grass fires.
Now, the area has too much of it.
