Following weekend earthquakes crews are out inspecting Oklahoma bridges and roads

Following the weekend earthquakes, KRMG listeners posted their thoughts on our Facebook page as well as one listener leaving a question. Renee LaFave Bright shared her concerns about the safety of our already deficient bridges after that much ground shaking.

We got a spokeswoman on the phone from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to explain what happens after the state experiences something like a tornado or earthquake.

“Following both quakes, we were able to get crews out within a 50-mile radius of the epicenters and start conducting inspections on the ODOT maintained bridges along the highways of the interstate,” says ODOT’s Kenna Mitchell... FULL ARTICLE
