Tulsa - Expect more construction zones in Tulsa over the coming months as the City of Tulsa is gearing up for dozens and dozens of projects to repair the city's infrastructure.
Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett was joined by Public Works Engineering Services Director Paul Zachary at the River Parks Wednesday morning to announce the coming projects.
Zachary says the city currently has around 18 construction zones on arterial streets and that an additional 58 projects are expected to begin over the next year and 122 over the next two years on arterial streets and in neighborhoods.
"We normally spread out the projects so that we don't create gridlock and things like that," Zachary says. "But (the government) gave us 15-point-7 million dollars, which we've been able to fund almost 15 projects across the city. And, we've just tried to work with the state to coordinate the signage so we minimize that gridlock." FULL ARTICLE
