Governor-elect Mary Fallin has announced she intends to keep Gary Ridley as Secretary of Transportation and Oklahoma Department of Transportation director for her administration.
We think this is a good move.
Ridley has served under red and blue administrations and has brought an impressive degree of engineering and need-based professionalism to the chronically political process of allocating highway improvement dollars.
He has adapted, but he’s stayed true to a process that serves Oklahoma well.
Ridley himself is well-respected, refuses to get caught up in the potential power or influence of his position and works well with people of various backgrounds and political bents... FULL ARTICLE
