TULSA – Health care and highway funding issues led the state legislative agenda for the Tulsa Metro Chamber’s OneVoice regional policy support program.
Arkansas River development funding joins these topics and others on the OneVoice federal agenda.
Chamber officials announced the key positions Thursday with several eastern Oklahoma legislators and executives from many of the OneVoice program’s 54 regional partners. Chamber President and Chief Executive Mike Neal said such support demonstrates the momentum this joint lobbying effort has gained.
While health care issues filled three spots on the OneVoice legislative top 10, and transportation filled two, the top item went to education – increased funding for kindergarten through high school programs. OneVoice also vowed to oppose any diversion of these funds, such as a property tax cap or exemptions. It also opposed a further reduction in the state income tax rate... FULL ARTICLE
