Eastbound and westbound Interstate 244 will be narrowed to two open lanes in each direction near Lewis Avenue from 9 a.m. today until further notice as part of a city of Tulsa bridge project, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced.
Officials said that ramps will not be closed as part of this project.
As part of a widening project, various lane and ramp closures are planned between the I-244 junction and 56th Street North on:
- Northbound U.S. 169 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday
- Southbound U.S. 169 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Friday
Starting at 9 a.m. today, the eastbound Interstate 44 off-ramp to Harvard Avenue will be shifting from the west side of this junction to the east side of the junction. Drivers taking this ramp will continue to start their exit near the current ramp location, and will then be directed to go across the I-44 bridge to a new ramp on the east side of the Harvard Avenue junction...
