We all have been driving around Tulsa and dodging orange cones...but drivers in East Tulsa could see those cones disappear a little early.
You can call it an early present from the state. The I-44 corridor bridge replacement and road widening projects may be finished by December. That's about 5 months earlier than planned. Both projects are ahead of schedule because of good weather. But now, what worked for road crews could work against them. Colder weather could slow them down.
ODOT Spokesperson, Kenna Mitchell says, "We are definitely moving into the time of the year when mother nature might get in our way a little bit on some of the progress."
Since the projects are not quite finished...ramp closings and lane shifts can happen daily. So drivers still have to pay attention in the area...FULL ARTICLE
