The left lanes of both eastbound and westbound Interstate 44 from Peoria Avenue to the west side of the Arkansas River bridge will be closed Thursday night and again this weekend as work continues on a project to widen the highway.
The section of I-44 will be narrowed from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday and then again from 7 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Saturday, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation says.
Travelers are reminded by ODOT that Peoria Avenue is narrowed to one lane in each direction at the I-44 junction. Officials say to expect delays and seek an alternate route if possible... FULL ARTICLE
