It's a wise decision to avoid the area all day Saturday if possible
TULSA, Okla. — Once again, the massive construction project along Interstate 44 in the heart of Tulsa has created an ugly traffic snarl.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation closed the inside lanes of I-44 in both directions from the Arkansas River to Peoria Ave.
With the busy highway down to one lane in each direction, traffic has backed up badly -- despite the fact that it's a weekend.
Part of the problem may be that many people use I-44 to Southwest Boulevard as a way to avoid traffic getting into Oktoberfest... FULL ARTICLE
