(Tulsa, OK) - It's still several months down the road, but if you frequent midtown Tulsa, you might want to start bracing yourself now for the I-44 widening at Lewis Avenue.
"It's going to be a bear for traffic," said Kenna Mitchell with the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation. "We're going to have to look at shutting down Lewis over I-44 for several months."
Because of the large hill at Lewis and because they're shifting the highway several feet to the south, the Lewis section of the project will require a considerable amount of earth-moving... FULL ARTICLE
