Transportation officials are telling motorists to expect major changes at one of the busiest metro junctions.
On Monday a new I-40 crosstown project gets underway, which will change the I-35 and I-40 junction. The southbound I-35 on-ramp from eastbound Reno will be perminently closed.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the closure is necessary because the lanes will be reconfigured for the new I-40 crosstown.
An electronic electronic message board has been in place for a week to give drivers advanced warning.
The 10 lane interstate is expected to be complete in the spring of 2012.
