Just back from two national gubernatorial meetings, Gov.-elect Mary Fallin said Monday she has two years to “right-size” state government and improve Oklahoma's economy, two of her main campaign themes.
The state is facing a revenue shortfall of at least $450 million for the next fiscal year beginning July 1.
Fallin said during her campaign she supports continuing efforts to modernize state government by improving purchasing techniques and would consider looking at consolidating some agencies. She talked about right-sizing government, which she said Monday consists of “making government smaller and more efficient.” FULL ARTICLE
