Republican Mary Fallin heads into the home stretch of the state's gubernatorial campaign with more than twice as much cash on hand as Democrat Jari Askins.
Untaxed financially during her primary campaign against underfunded Randy Brogdon, Fallin reported a balance of $805,266 on Aug. 9, according to documents filed with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.
That compared with $352,635 for Askins, who put $775,000 of her own money into her upset of Attorney General Drew Edmondson in the Democratic primary.
