May ODOT meeting brings repair work to Stephens

The May meeting for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) will bring some repairs through Stephens County.

During the meeting, ODOT awarded contracts for not only Stephens County, but also Grady County.

Contracts included were for State Highway 37 in Grady County and State Highway 29 in Stephens County.

In Grady, the contracts totals $11.8 million for the reconstruction of four miles of State Highway 37 between Minco and Tuttle. Stephens County was also approved of a more than $12 million contract to reconstruct nearly five miles of State Highway 29 east of Marlow.

According to the bid sheet kept on record by ODOT, Overland Corporation was awarded the $12,247,790.70 bid in Stephens County for grade, drain and surface work on State Highway 29 from 6.8 miles east of the US Highway 81 junction, extending east near Marlow.
