More changes coming to I-44 construction zone at Riverside and Peoria

Changes are coming again to your drive along Interstate 44 Friday night as progress is made on the widening of the highway from Harvard to the Arkansas River.
KRMG news learned Friday afternoon that the contractor was asking for more time to complete the transition.
So instead of the original 5am Saturday deadline for the shift to be completed, the contractor asked for an extension to 7pm Saturday.
The extension means there will be some temporary lane closures Friday night and into Saturday evening as I-44 eastbound traffic is shifted to a stretch of new pavement... FULL ARTICLE
