For months, Tulsans waited for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to finish work rehabbing the surface level of the roads that make up the Inner Dispersal Loop. Now that part has finished, but the state wants to work to make sure the undersides of bridges get the attention they deserve. ODOT announced a new $10 million project that will fix that on the Northwest corner of the IDL Monday, but some drivers say enough is enough.
“I would like less road work for sure,” James Bullard, a Tulsa driver, told FOX23.
The state says we need it, more orange cones in the coming weeks.
This time it's the northwest corner of the IDL; a stretch of highway that was just re-opened after months of construction.
“Traffic was backed up, and it was hard getting to one location. It took forever to get to work,” Downtown worker Tamara Franklin said.
